Wood Species

Ash Wood for Custom Furniture

Ash is one of the five woods we offer, along with walnut, white oak, red oak and teak.

Grain and Color

Ash is straight-grained, with an open, bold grain pattern. Its tone runs from cream to soft blonde. It takes stain evenly, which helps when a finish has to match across several pieces. The grain stays visible, and the wood looks lighter than oak or walnut.

How We Use It

Ash mills cleanly and bends well. We use it for chairs, stools and table bases. We offer it in solid wood and veneer, and every piece is made to order.

Finishes

Our finishes are the standard finish range, ceruse and lacquer. If none of those colors fits, color match is available.

On the Coto Sofa

The Coto Sofa sits on an ash base, shown on its page in Mocha, one of our standard finish colors.
