Red Oak Wood for Custom Furniture

Red oak is one of the five woods we offer, along with walnut, white oak, ash and teak.

Grain and Color

Red oak has a more open grain than white oak and a warmer, reddish cast. It is porous, so it takes in stain readily and shows its grain texture more than white oak does. It suits pieces that call for more movement and texture in the finish.

How We Use It

Red oak works well for shelving, benches and statement casegoods. We offer it in solid wood and veneer, and every piece is made to order.

Finishes

Our finishes are the standard finish range, ceruse and lacquer. If none of those colors fits, color match is available.

On the Coto Sofa

The Coto Sofa lists red oak among its wood options.
